About Kathryn Dow Photography
Since a child I have been fascinated with wildlife and birds. I have always found myself in the outdoors searching and observing. Admiring and walking in it’s beauty. I started Bird Photography in Florida in 1992 for fun. The love for this has grown over the years. As a birder and a photographer I strive to capture that perfect moment in time. I want a great image of an even greater moment. For when I look back on my images they make me smile remembering the essence of energy and beauty before me. That connection that imprints upon me, forever absorbed within me. It is always the experience that remains. The experience of walking in their beauty. My life long dream has been to offer services in the outdoors so that others may benefit and enjoy it as much as I have. I have developed my techniques in spotting birds for many years. My first real birding experiences starting at a few years old were our winter visitors "Snowy Owls". Photography has grown from that passion. I am based in central Florida for a little longer. I offer private photography instruction and small group workshops. I am also a bird guide for birders and bird photographers. In November 2018 I will be teaching workshops for my 8th year at the 31st annual Festival of the Cranes at Bosque Del Apache NWR, New Mexico. I have instructed at the annual Spacecoast Birding and Wildlife Festival in Titusville Florida a couple years and also FCCC . I am a Maven Field Naturalist.
